We are a family owned business in Northern
California, just 9 miles South of Chico on
Highway 99, that specializes in the propagation
of largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill,
koi, israeli & common carp, mosquito fish,
fathead minnows, and white sturgeon. We offer
pond stocking to an array of markets, or bring
the family in to fish in one of our ponds open to
the public.

Like our ancestors who came to Butte County in the 1800’s, our
family is concerned with maintaining or enhancing the quality of life and
the environment for present and future generations. At S.E. Marler &
Family Fish Farm, we are committed to actively researching and
carrying out sustainable land practices that respect the interests and
values of all resource users. By creating and sharing knowledge to
promote innovation, we strive to ensure the best use of our aquatic
space.

The fish farm’s promotion of appropriate and efficient use of resources
includes improving efficiency in the use of water resources; improving
selection of inputs, such as chemicals, drugs and equipment;
appropriate fish health management; and integration with other
agricultural activities.
